Daily Work (DW)
DW that becomes homework (HW):
DW that becomes homework (HW):
- ~Each daily math lesson targets specific goal(s) so that scholars are able learn yet stay on track to learn all the required TEKS & vertical alignment for the year.
- ~When scholars do not reach the lesson goal(s) for the day, they must complete any necessary math work at home that evening.
- ~When scholars reach the math lesson goal(s) for the day, there is no math homework.
- ~From time-to-time there is specific "homework" assigned that must be completed at home.
NOTE: Handwriting (HW):
- ~All Beta MS scholars are required to write in cursive HW (math abbreviations & symbols in print).
- ~Using good HW and developing better HW is an essential requirement.
- ~Beta scholars know and understand that they must write with a purpose and that purpose is to write for the ease of decoding by the reader (teachers, guests, peers, admin); readers should be able to easily and swiftly decode what a scholar has shared; without stumbling.
- ~Teachers and admin should never second guess or use their acumen of knowledge to guess what a scholar stated.
- The bottom line:
- ~It is the scholar's responsibility to write with a purpose so that what is shared and teh way it is shared is easily decodable and makes clear sense.
- ~HW that cannot be decoded (CND) will be marked as incorrect.
